The Essential Exterior Wash is our short-format outside-only service, the correct, low-risk way to wash a car regularly. It replaces the automatic roller and the drive-through hand wash with something that actually protects the paint: pre-wash to lift grit, wheels handled with their own tools, a full contact-safe wash with a fresh mitt, protection sealant applied, then dried, glass cleaned and tyres dressed.
It's the right service for weekly or fortnightly upkeep on any car, for weekend visits before an event, and for owners who care about the paint but don't need a full interior job every time.

Message or call for a same-day quote. A 20% deposit secures your slot; the balance is settled on completion. We reply inside 24 hours, Monday to Saturday.

Arrival & Pre-Inspection
We arrive fully self-contained: water, power, machinery and lighting. Before a drop of foam touches the paint we walk the vehicle with you and note existing defects, trim condition, wheel finish and interior wear.

Safe, Staged Cleaning
Every step is contact-safe and pH-appropriate. Wheels and arches are always handled first with dedicated tools, then the paint is decontaminated before any wash mitt touches it.

Protection & Dressing
Once cleaned, the surfaces we've agreed are sealed, dressed and finished: paint, wheels, glass, tyres and interior textiles, so the work lasts, not just looks good on the driveway.

The Detail

What 'contact-safe' actually means
A pre-wash foam is applied and given time to work, so the majority of surface grit lifts before anything physically touches the paint. Wheels are cleaned with their own set of brushes, never mixed with the paint tools. The paint itself is washed with a fresh mitt using a two-bucket approach, one for shampoo, one for rinsing, so grit lifted from one panel doesn't get carried back onto the next. Drying is done with clean, soft towels rather than air-drying (which encourages water spotting) or chamois (which drag grit).
It's a slower method than a swipe with a sponge, and it's the reason careful owners can go years without needing paint correction.
Why sealant every wash matters
A sealant is a sacrificial layer. Contamination that would otherwise bond to the clearcoat bonds to the sealant instead, which is then rinsed off at the next wash. Applied every visit, it also keeps water sheeting off, which speeds drying and reduces water spotting.
